Linette Russell

My career originally began with two BA's earned in 2013 from the University of Maine in Orono, but after a few years working in office administration and publishing, I realized I found greater fulfillment connecting with people one-on-one. I sought out a new career in massage therapy, where I then fell in love with the science behind how we function. Today, I am a licensed massage therapist of ten years with a focus on acute and chronic pain resolution through the study and treatment of structural instability or immobility, whether at the muscular, fascial, or joint level. I utilize a variety of manual, massage, neuromuscular, and myofascial techniques to determine and treat the root causes of client pain or discomfort, which includes modalities such as proprioceptive neuromuscular technique, scar therapy, the Nemerov method, Mulligan mobilization, standard deep tissue and trigger point massage, and more. I strongly believe in a scientific but sympathetic approach, regularly attend workshops to further my education and specializations, and have completed an apprenticeship all in the interest of being the most effective and helpful therapist I can be. My office is based around mutual respect as a foundation, and around clients feeling both heard and educated to further address their pain on their own. I am committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free space for people from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, body type, neurotype, and so on. In my free time I work on fantasy novels, do arts and crafts, play video and board games, and perform handbells. I'm a proud Maine native (Lewiston Strong), a francophone, and I live locally with my husband and our two cats.
