Linette Mailhot
I am a massage therapist of eight years with a primary focus on anatomy, chronic pain, and injury resolution for my clients, utilizing a variety of manual, neuromuscular and myofascial techniques, as well as other techniques including deep tissue, trigger point release, proprioceptive neuromuscular technique, sports massage, scar therapy, the Nemerov method, Mulligan mobilization, and more. I strictly adhere to and believe in a scientific but sympathetic approach, regularly attend workshops to further my education and specializations, and have additionally been apprenticing beneath Beth Labaugh since early 2022 to further my skills based on her experience. My career originally began with two BA's earned in 2013 from the University of Maine, but after a few years behind a computer screen working in office administration and publishing, I realized I found greater fulfillment connecting with people individually, and sought out a new career in massage therapy. Thanks to my education in art, further specializing in anatomy came to me very easily, and has become a foundation of my career in manual therapy. I find great fulfillment in working with clients one-on-one, hearing their stories, and studying and treating their chronic pain efficiently and effectively. My office is based around mutual respect as a foundation, and around clients feeling both heard and educated to further identify and address their pain. I am committed to providing a safe and judgment-free space for people from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, body type, neurodiversity, and so on.
